St. James Fire Department to Hold 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

The St. James Fire Department invites the community to join us for our annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony on Friday, September 11, at 6:00 PM at the St. James 9/11 Memorial on Woodlawn Avenue.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The ceremony will honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, including the brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Immediately following the community ceremony, at 6:30 PM, the St. James Fire Department will hold a special memorial service honoring Captain Doug Oelschlager, a member of our department who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Residents, families, veterans, first responders, and community organizations are encouraged to attend as we come together to remember all those we lost and to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.
