A Day at the St James Elementary School

Last week, the St. James Elementary School celebrated First Responder Week. Police, firefighters and EMS responders visited classrooms to speak to the students and talk about how they keep our community safe.

Honoring Marty Thompson for 50 yrs of service

Last night at our annual inspection and elections, Marty Thompson was honored for his 50 years of active service with the St James Volunteer Fire Department. Marty was voted into membership in January of 1975. He has worn many hats in his 50 years including but not limited to Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Chief and President of the Department.
